Serves 4
Ingredients : 1 small head of cauliflower, 2 chicken breasts (optional), 1 onion, 2 cloves of garlic, 10 big mushrooms, 1 table spoon of paprika, salt, black pepper and olive oil, grated cheese for the top
For sauce; 1 full table spoon of flour, 400 ml milk, 2 table spoons of butter
Preparation :
- Seperate the stalks of the cauliflower and boil them
- Place the boiled cauliflower in an oven tray
- Prepare the sauce; put the butter in a saucepan and add flour. After a couple of mins, pour the milk slowly into the mixture and whisk it at the same time. Keep mixing it until you get a thick and smooth texture.
- Pour the sauce all over the cauliflower stalks
- Dice the onion and garlic and chop the mushrooms and chicken breasts as seen in the photos
- Put olive oil in a frying pan and add ingredients in the order of onions, garlic, chicken, mushrooms, paprika, salt and black pepper
- Stir them all a couple of minutes and place the mixture on top of the sauce
- Sprinkle grated cheese on top and cook it in the oven until the cheese melts and turns to golden colour
Cauliflower salad : I made a cauliflower salad with left over cauliflower stalks. I mixed them with boiled carrots, corns, peas, green beans and garlic yoğurt.
